LawFund Management Group, LLC ("LFMG") was formed to expand the
legal options available to businesses and
individuals who have suffered substantial
monetary damages, based on solid legal
positions, and either do not have the
resources to finance a substantial case or
would choose to abandon their rights because
of the cost involved in pursuing their
remedies, including the loss of use of time
of management personnel whose attention
would be diverted from their usual
management activities. LFMG's program is
designed to allow those individuals and
businesses to choose to use LFMG's
management experience, skills and its
financial resources to recover its damages
rather than its own financial resources and
management time. By utilizing LFMG to manage
and finance the case, management eliminates
the need to expend its cash or assets for
what could be a protracted period of time.
It also obviates the need to use the time
and efforts of management personnel in
connection with an extensive litigation when
their time and effort could be used
productively elsewhere.
Herbert Dodell, LFMG's consultant, has exceptional experience as both a
transactional and trial lawyer, Judge Pro
Tem and arbitrator. He has served as
Director of Business Affairs for Warner
Brothers where he supervised the legal
department, negotiated agreements with major
entertainment individuals/entities, and
administered the studio facility. During the
past 43 years of his highly diverse law
practice - exclusive of cases he prosecuted
as a Deputy District Attorney of Los Angeles
County - he has tried approximately 95 jury
trials to a verdict in State and Federal
Courts, a number of which resulted in $1
million-plus verdicts, and a substantial
number of non-jury trials, with similar
results. His extensive experience
encompasses commercial, business,
entertainment, intellectual property and
insurance-related litigation matters,
including manufacturing, agriculture and the
wholesaling of products, goods and services.
Mr. Dodell is also a member of The Million
Dollar Advocates Forum, which requires a
verdict in excess of $1 million as a
condition of membership; a member of ABOTA
(American Board of Trial Advocates), having
been selected for membership by his peers;
and sits on the Board of Directors of the
University of Pittsburgh Alumni Association.
He successfully argued before the California
Supreme Court in the case of
Essex
Insurance vs. Five Star Dye House, Inc.,
(click
to download) which created landmark authority in the area
of insurance law, including an insurance
company’s obligation to provide a defense
where its insured has been sued. He is a
published author in insurance law and has
lectured frequently on the subject.
Burton Mark Senkfor is LFMG’s Senior
Analyst. He is involved in the selection and
litigation of each case. Mr. Senkfor is a
well-established attorney with nearly
30-years experience in the litigation of
complicated business, commercial, insurance,
real estate, securities, entertainment and
intellectual property rights cases, with
several $1 million-plus jury verdicts. He
has distinguished himself in legal analysis
and research in all the LFMG areas of
involvement. He has extensive experience in
the analysis, research and briefing of
complicated legal issues, as well as appeals
and writs.
Julius Wachs, Jane Fredgant, Perry Fredgant
