LawFund Management Group, LLC ("LFMG") was formed to expand the legal options available to businesses and individuals that have suffered substantial monetary damages. Despite solid legal positions, many aggrieved parties do not have the resources to finance a substantial case. They may have to abandon their rights because of the expense and inconvenience involved in pursuing their remedies, including the time constraints on management personnel whose attention would be diverted from their usual business activities.
LFMG's program is designed to allow those businesses and individuals to use LFMG's management experience, skills and financial resources to recover their damages rather than using their own financial resources and management time. By utilizing LFMG to manage and finance the case, management eliminates the need to expend its cash or assets for what could be a protracted period of time. It also obviates the need to use the time and efforts of management personnel in connection with an extensive litigation when their time and effort could be used more productively elsewhere.
LFMG is a nationwide legal management group of highly experienced professionals that expands legal options by providing aggrieved parties with the financial resources to fund an extensive litigation based on fees contingent to LFMG, while case attorneys are paid for professional services on a non-contingency fee basis, and the expertise, supervision and management to bring a case to a successful conclusion, with limited involvement from management personnel.
LFMG selects cases for its portfolio based on specific eligibility guidelines and a comprehensive four-step selection process. It employs a licensed proprietary system that issues a CES (Case Evaluation System) Score for each case submitted for evaluation, much like a FICO score. It submits detailed reports to a distinguished panel comprised of retired members of the judiciary and plaintiff/defense trial lawyers within the appropriate practice area. The CES system automates the process and systematizes the hundreds of years of combined legal expertise of LFMG's legal counsel, other lawyers and other experts in specialized fields. This provides LFMG with an invaluable reference tool.
Once LFMG selects a case for participation, it engages the highest quality, most experienced attorneys to represent the interests of it and the aggrieved party. In addition, LFMG's ongoing case commitment includes:
|
| |
Managing and overseeing
the case to its conclusion, drawing on its own consultants' experience and involvement in litigation and law-office management to maximize the likelihood of success while minimizing costs all along the way; |
| |
Monitoring the attorneys'
activities and billings - providing expert management and oversight to ensure the greatest return for LFMG and the aggrieved party; and |
| |
Participating in all settlement
negotiations including the management, supervision and distribution of settlement and judgment proceeds among participants. |
|
Please review all information carefully, including how
our program works, cases
eligible for consideration, our case
selection process and the use of an Independent
Case Selection Review Panel.
As a Claimant, your client may initially submit our LFMG
Case Consideration Questionnaire or have you submit the case on their behalf. If the case meets LFMG guidelines for consideration, you/your client will be notified. In your role as the Claimant's chosen attorney, you will be required to formally submit the case for the next step of consideration.
If for one reason or another you do not wish to represent the Claimant or serve as referring attorney, he/she will need to select another attorney for the formal submission of the case to LFMG. He/she will also have the option of selecting counsel familiar with the program from the Attorneys/Law
Firms section here at our website. These attorneys are familiar with our program and, based on the type of case and LFMG's approval, may even act as Lead Counsel should the case ultimately be added to the LFMG portfolio. (If you are interested in becoming one of the attorneys listed here at our website, please click here.) By accepting the listing on the LFMG website, without cost, you agree that upon contact by anyone selecting your name from the LFMG website, you will submit the matter to LFMG only and will not seek to represent the party as litigation counsel or to refer the matter to any other attorney or law firm.
We thank you for your interest in the LFMG program that "levels the legal playing field" for businesses and individuals located across America.

The Benefits of Referral
Why You Should Consider Being a Referral Attorney
When you refer a case for consideration based on LFMG guidelines, there are many potential benefits for your client and for you as a Submitting Attorney.
Your client benefits as a Claimant because selection of a case by LFMG and its Independent Case Selection Review Panel means:
|
| |
They can seek rightful damages even if they do not have the financial resources to fund hourly attorney's fees and costs; |
| |
If selected, their case has a greater chance for success because of LFMG's experience in management, its financial resources and its ability to control costs; |
| |
They may recover damages sooner, because LFMG's reputation and resources may cause the other party/its insurance company to settle a case rather than risk even greater costs following a lengthy litigation; and |
| |
For those cases that are not eligible, after review, LFMG will recommend to Claimant counsel who will take such cases on a contingency fee basis. When a case does not meet the high threshold for LFMG participation, it doesn't mean it does not have merit. |
|
You benefit as a "Submitting Attorney" because the LFMG program:
|
| |
Allows you to participate in your client's case, representing their interests; |
| |
Allows you to build more enduring client relationships because you present them with a legal option they would not otherwise have; |
| |
Provides you/your firm with the opportunity to participate in specialized legal areas that you might not have the expertise or time to pursue; and |
| |
To the extent permitted by law, you will be compensated as a Submitting Attorney if a case you refer or submit is selected |
